    Former McLaren Formula One Race Mechanic; Renowned Commentator and Author

    Marc Priestley is a successful speaker, broadcaster, and author who spent a decade as a senior mechanic for the McLaren Formula One team. He now co-presents Wheeler Dealers, serves as an expert commentator on Formula One and Formula E, and hosts the podcast Pitlane Life Lessons.

    In his book “The Mechanic – The Secret World of the F1 Pitlane,” Marc shares his experiences in the high-pressure world of Formula One, working with champions like Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.

    Marc also provides insights into the rise of electric vehicle technology in motorsport and the industry’s shift towards sustainability, explaining how Formula One aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030.


    One of Asia's Top Experts on Formula One Sports

    Alex Yoong, a former Formula One and A1GP driver, transitioned to the business side of motorsport in 2005, establishing his own team and managing sponsorships while developing race cars in Asia. Starting his career in go-karts at 15, he quickly advanced to Formula Renault in 1994 and competed in series across Asia and Europe.

    In 2001, he became Malaysia’s first F1 driver with the Minardi team, earning his first F1 point at the 2002 Australian Grand Prix. Post-F1, he excelled in the A1 Grand Prix, winning the 2005-2006 championship with the Malaysian team, and achieving victories in the Audi R8 LMS Cup and Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

    Beyond racing, Yoong was head of Driver’s Development at Caterham F1 and continued racing globally, winning the Audi R8 LMS Cup Championship in 2015. He has also served as a motorsports commentator and analyst for ESPN Star Sports and Fox Sports Asia, solidifying his status as one of Malaysia’s most accomplished race drivers.
